Up to 32 NTU subjects made it in this year’s QS World Rankings by Subject.
In this year’s Quacquarelli Symonds World University Rankings by Subject, National Taiwan University reported a growth of more than 20 percent compared to last year with up to 32 subjects making it in the world’s top 200. Among the list, 26 NTU subjects made it into the top 100, 17 of which were listed among the world’s top 50.
A total of 26 subjects made it into the QS top 200 rankings last year. Electrical & Electronic Engineering, which ranked 20 last year, climbed five spaces up in the rankings at number 15 this year.
This year’s rankings were conducted through the evaluation of 36 subjects categorized into five faculties among 3,551 universities. The rankings were compiled according to academic reputation, employer reputation, citations per paper, as well as related data based on the H-index. This year, six additional subjects were added to the rankings, including Art and Design, Dentistry, Veterinary Science, Business and Management, Development Studies, and Architecture.
