On March 30, NTU welcomed the delegation from Kyushu University, including Prof. Tatsuro Ishibashi, President, Prof. Kenji Iwata, Executive Vice President for International Affairs, Prof. Shuji Shimizu, and other delegates. After the COVID challenge, it was very meaningful to host this delegation in person at NTU.

President Wen-Chang Chen (陳文章) and Vice President for International Affairs Hsiao-Wei Yuan (袁孝維) received the delegation on behalf of NTU, and discussed with President Ishibashi about future research collaboration, overseas internship exchange, and student community exchange.

President Ishibashi led a delegation of professors from Kyushu University’s College of Engineering, College of Agriculture, College of Medicine, and other departments to make exchanges with NTU faculty members. On behalf of NTU, Associate Dean Je-Ruei Liu (劉嚞睿) from the College of Bioresources and Agriculture and Executive Director for International Affairs Hung-Wei (Homer) Yen (顏鴻威) from the College of Engineering presented highlights of academic research of NTU colleges. Dean Ni Yen-Hsuan (倪衍玄) from the College of Medicine led an academic seminar on medical research. The meeting ended on a positive note with Kyushu University’s Vice President Natalie Konomi’s proposal of future collaboration projects.

It was a remarkable reunion for Kyushu University and NTU, marking a milestone of international cooperation in the post-pandemic era. We look forward to the future of our invaluable partnership with Kyushu University!
