Bettina Stark-Watzinger, Federal Minister of Education and Research of German, led a delegation to visit NTU on March 21. The delegation included multiple German congressmen, Kai Gehring, Chairman of the Committee on Education and Research, joined by Jörg Polster, Director General of the German Institute Taipei and Minn-Tsong Lin (林敏聰), Deputy Minister of the National Science and Technology Council.

NTU was the only university in Taiwan visited by the German delegation during the trip. NTU currently has 37 partner universities in German, among which the University of Hamburg is the strategic partner university. In the past five years, a total of 328 German students have come to NTU, and NTU has also sent over 191 students to partner universities in Germany. Since 2019, NTU has cooperated with 139 German institutions/universities and published 413 academic papers, making Germany the sixth major partner of NTU. NTU will continue to deepen exchange and collaboration with partner universities in Germany, enhancing academic development and international cooperation.
