VISION 2023 NTU Campus Recruitment Fair

VISION 2023 NTU Campus Recruitment Fair kicked off grandly on March 4. This year, about 310 companies participated, with 448 booths set up at the physical exhibition. This year’s fair was divided into seven sections: Information Technology, Finance, Corporate Groups, Diversified Industries, Human Resources, NTU Start-ups, and International Talent Training. The “NTU Start-ups” and “International Talent Training” sections were especially added to the fair to provide students from home and abroad with more diversified and international career options. From March 7 to 24, 73 companies will give presentations at the Company Info Session, and five company visit sessions will be held at registered companies.

The Career Center of the NTU Office of Academic Affairs stated that the NTU Campus Recruitment Fair has always been crowded with people for the past years. In order to break the limits of time and space of visits and interviews and promote diverse interactions between students and companies, this year’s fair optimizes online and physical talent recruitment activities. For example, from now until March 31, by scanning the QR codes of the company booths with a cell phone, students can link to the online virtual digital expo platform to chat with corporate personnel, exchange business cards, and participate in video recruitment activities. The virtual and real-life interactions shorten the distance between students and corporations, as well as increasing the opportunities for matchmaking between talents and the industries.

NTU President Wen-Chang Chen (陳文章) said at the opening ceremony that in response to the industrial development trends of “sustainability” and “Artificial Intelligence,” NTU will continue to promote the Future University programs and actively arrange talent cultivation activities. NTU hopes to cultivate leaders in various professional fields by providing NTU students with various learning opportunities and career counseling resources, in hopes of aligning talents to corporate needs and improving corporate competitiveness.

To guide students’ personal adaptive career development, NTU launched the “Plan Career Ahead” course for the first time this year to cultivate students’ work abilities before internships and employment and to enhance their interdisciplinary knowledge and problem-solving skills. More than 300 people have registered for the course. In the future, a series of courses will be launched to connect to the “2023 NTU International Mentorship Program,” which offers internship opportunities so as to promote students’ cross-disciplinary learning and expand their internship experience.
