NTU IoX Center and IRCAI Sign an MOU to Promote Academic Collaboration.
After more than a year of interaction and collaboration, NTU IoX Center officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding with the International Research Centre on Artificial Intelligence (IRCAI) in May 2022. This MOU opens a new chapter in making academic connections with top international research organizations.
IRCAI is an institute under the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) jurisdiction. In mid-2020, after the Slovenian World Congress formally passed the UNESCO proposal to set up an agreement on a site, IRCAI was officially unveiled in Ljubljana, the capital of Slovenia, in March of the following year. This also coincides with the rotation of Slovenia as the Presidency of the Council of the European Union. IRCAI, as an organization promoting global development with artificial intelligence technology, has a strong start.
Since the official unveiling of IRCAI, NTU IoX Center has had active interactions with IRCAI. In October of the same year that IRCAI was founded, NTU and IRCAI co-hosted the “Round Table On Human-Centered Artificial Intelligence” with ten highly accomplished scholars and researchers from Taiwan and Europe sharing their insights with the audience. In addition, NTU and IRCAI also signed a memorandum of cooperation in May 2022. NTU IoX Center has officially become a member of Global Network of AI Excellence Centers (NAIXUS) initiated by IRCAI and will assist the United Nations in achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). In the future, NTU IoX Center and IRCAI will continue to build strong ties with AI technology. This collaboration will deepen the relationship between the two organizations while jointly promoting SDGs goals.
