Notices for All Returning From Abroad.
Starting today, the University will ask those entering Taiwan from abroad not to set foot on-campus during the 7-day self-health management following the 14-day home quarantine. This is in compliance with the regulations governing the entry of non-domestic students in the official letter from the Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education on February 8 and the corresponding measures concerning people undergoing self-health management in the NTU’s “Guidelines for Prevention of the Severe Pneumonia with Novel Pathogens, 2nd Edition,” Your full cooperation is required in respect of the following.
- Faculty members please move your courses online.
- Faculty and staff members please contact the Personnel Department about relevant leaves of absence, or apply for working off-campus.
- Students living in the dormitory should be placed in a single room. If that is not available, they should then live off-campus in a single room with a dedicated shower and toilet.
Apart from the above, students and colleagues undergoing the 7-day self-health management should avoid going to public places and must not take public transportation. If going out is necessary, please wear a medical mask at all times, wash hands frequently, maintain appropriate respiratory hygiene and cough etiquette, as well as keep proper social distancing.
