Interim President Kuo Receives IEEE Award for Real-Time Systems

At the 2017 IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium held in Paris, the IEEE Technical Committee on Real-Time Systems gave NTU Interim President Tei-Wei Kuo (郭大維) its Outstanding Technical Achievement and Leadership Award. This award is a lifetime achievement award given to one person each year to recognize his or her outstanding academic achievements and leadership.

Interim President Kuo was the third person in Taiwan to receive this award after Academician and former President Chung-Laung Liu (劉炯朗) of National Tsing Hua University in 1999 and Prof. Jane E.-S. Liu (張韻詩) at Academia Sinica in 2005. While there, Interim President Kuo was invited to deliver the award speech at the opening of the 2018 IEEE Real-Time Systems Symposium scheduled to be held in Tennessee, the United States in December 11-14 next year.
